Authentication is a framework used by PayPal to present interactive challenges with the purpose of gathering and acting upon additional information from the user. It is used extensively in the system where Risk requires additional authenticated information from the user. As the authentication flow is used in more contexts and with greater frequency, it becomes even more critical to present a clear and simple user experience. As a result the estimated pass rate for ‘good users’ is much lower than desired.

Focus on improving the overall experience which includes:
•   Contextual based experience
•   Upgrade the structure and layout of pages
•   Clearer messaging and intuitive workflow
